OUR STORY
Arruda’s Basketball Club started with Josh Arruda leading individual training sessions in August 2022. As demand grew, ABC became teams, camps, and 3v3 leagues serving Arlington families — with over 200 players registering for spring tryouts alone.

WHAT WE'RE ABOUT

We work with football, soccer, baseball, and lacrosse schedules — not against them. ABC is built for kids who play more than one sport.
We coach for individual, long-term development inside a team setting — not for winning today’s game at the expense of who you become.
Every session opens with a life lesson beyond basketball — this season, we’re pushing players to actually put them into practice.
Every practice is built around real skill work — ball-handling, shooting, footwork — not just running plays to win today’s scrimmage.
Our energetic staff plays or played at Arlington-area high schools and Marymount — learn from people doing it in your own community.
Team events, morning strength & conditioning, and local sponsors who back our players — ABC is a community, not just a program.
MULTIPLE AGE GROUPS
Half-court, three-on-three, straight competition — from 3rd grade through high school. Coaches referee, keep score, and track results in each league’s own standings.

Director of Basketball Analytics & Camps at Campbell University. Previously assistant coach at Marymount, where the Saints went 17-10 in his season on the bench. Played four years at McDaniel College. Founded ABC in August 2022.
Started as a freshman manager for Temple Men's Basketball under Fran Dunphy and Aaron McKie. Coached AAU and high school across Philadelphia before moving to Arlington. ABC Director since March 2025.
